Japan Postal Group Union's Achievements of Spring Labour Offensive 2017
The Japan Postal Group Union (JPGU) is pleased to report on the Achievements of this year's Spring Labour Offensive.
JP Group will continue to maximise its resources and distribution for all workers across the group company by closely investigating the current management situation and environment.
We will demand for further investment in human resources and will work to reformulate workstyle and treatment.
In financial businesses today, it is difficult to make profits from investments due to the negative interest rate. The number of customers who visit post offices are declining, together with less insurance contracts and less commission fee incomes at the customer services desks. The whole group is facing a critical situation.
We achieved a regular pay raise for all workers (with no base up), lump sum bonuses for 4 months, and special additional summer bonuses for fixed term employees.
Policies and regulations
JPGU will follow the government’s guidelines to achieve “equal pay for equal work” and “work style innovation”, in order to stabilize employment for key human resources, pursue work life balance and to create an environment in which valuable personnel can fully exercise their abilities and motivation for work.
JPGU will tackle issues on attracting and recruiting highly skilled workers, easing conditions to hire more regular workers, preparing the environment to support child care and elderly care, and reducing stress which occur when workers are assigned to a new job place.
