UNI Global Union is looking forward to welcoming hundreds of participants to the virtual Post&Logistics World Conference from 25 to 27 May 2021. Originally planned to take place in Dakar, Senegal, the online event will aim to maintain the spirit of the West African nation while uniting UNI postal unions across the globe.

Taking place under the theme: Connecting People to Deliver the Future, the conference will lay out the union vision for the sector under the themes of: a strong public postal service; diversification of postal services; digital and green post and logistics; and a fair market.

The Post&Logistics sector at UNI represents 2.5 million workers worldwide. UNI General Secretary, Christy Hoffman, said:

“This conference is an important opportunity to bring our affiliates together and confront the major issues facing the sector today. The Covid-19 pandemic has shown the importance of post as an essential service and rapidly accelerated growth in e-commerce and parcel deliveries. It is a perfect time to come together to consolidate our goals for the future in this evolving sector.”
