The early-morning Tuesday, 29 August, run will finish at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitphilly.com\/things-to-do\/attractions\/the-rocky-statue-and-the-rocky-steps\/\">Philadelphia Museum of Art Steps aka the &#8220;Rocky Steps.&#8221;<\/a> The original run in the movie was 30.61 miles &#8212; that&#8217;s 50km &#8212; however, we will run a reasonable 5km or 3.1 miles so that we can all make it back in time for breakfast. The run will be at a pace of 5:30 min\/km, and we will have a few guides at the beginning and end to make sure we get a great photo finish. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-AU\">Bring your running shoes and perhaps a greyish-brown tracksuit and let\u2019s go!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/18251135?h=8545abbf5b\" width=\"640\" height=\"336\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/18251135\">The Famous Rocky Run<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-AU\"><strong>WHAT: <\/strong>Rocky Run Date: Tuesday 29\/08\/2023<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-AU\"><strong>WHEN:<\/strong> Meeting time: 6:15 am for 6:30am departure<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-AU\"><strong>WHERE:<\/strong> Starting Location: Sonesta Rittenhouse Square, 1800 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-AU\"><strong>Run Distance:<\/strong> approximately 5km<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"en-AU\">Run Route:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-AU\">Walk from Hotel to Schuylkill River Trail (distance 600m)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-AU\">Run 5km Schuylkill River Trail to Rocky Steps, via the gardens.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-AU\">Ending location: Philadelphia Museum of Art Steps aka <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitphilly.com\/things-to-do\/attractions\/the-rocky-statue-and-the-rocky-steps\/\">Rocky Steps<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-AU\"><strong>Photo at Rocky Steps:<\/strong> 7am<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-AU\"><strong>Depart back to Hotel:<\/strong> 7:15<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-AU\"><strong>Arrive at Hotel:<\/strong> 7:30<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span lang=\"en-AU\">Note walkers can go directly to the Philadelphia Museum of Art Steps aka Rocky Steps and meet the group for a photo.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the UNI Global Union World Congress 2023, we will relive the run Sylvester Stallone made famous playing Rocky Balboa in the movie Rocky II.
