UNI Women to rise together the Women’s Conference in Philadelphia, USA.
Hundreds of women trade union leaders from UNI affiliates across the world will meet on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 August 2023 for UNI Global Union’s 6th World Women’s Conference at the Philadelphia Convention Centre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.
Uniting under the theme Rising Together and representing women workers from every continent, we will meet to strengthen women’s representation, visibility and voice in unions and the global economy.
The conference will address the key challenges facing women in the workplace today, under the themes of:
- Women rising in unions
- Women rising for health and safety
- Women rising for a world free of violence and harassment
- Women rising for decent work and a sustainable world
- Women rising for youth
The decisions taken by the Conference will set the strategic path for action for the next four years, until to UNI Global Union’s 7th World Women’s Conference in Australia in 2027.
