AMCOR workers in Malaysia are organizing for a living wage, safer working conditions and better benefits.
But AMCOR is engaging in brutal union-busting tactics – including unfairly firing Sister Siti Sanijah Binti Musa, Secretary of the BEMIS Asia Pacific Workers Union. The company’s retaliation, intimidation and interference corrupted workers’ first union election and harmed workers’ ability to support their families.
That is why AMCOR employees in Malaysia are demanding the company:
These workers can win, but they urgently need our support.
We must stop AMCOR from trampling workers’ rights in Malaysia because we know that an injury to one is an injury to all. If AMCOR succeeds in violating workers’ rights in Malaysia, they could attempt the same in our countries next.
AMCOR workers worldwide are donating to support the campaign in Malaysia, backed by UNI Global Union, IndustriALL and the AMCOR Global Trade Union Alliance.
You can make a difference by adding your donation to the campaign. Your support will help Sister Siti Sanijah and other union leaders whose pay has been slashed, as well as fund further actions in support of Amcor workers in Malaysia.
