Today the Dutch National Contact Point to the OECD published an update regarding a specific instance UNI filed against IKEA Group:
On June 12, 2019, the Dutch NCP published the Initial Assessment of the specific instance of UNI Global Union against IKEA Group.
Between July and November 2019 several dialogue meetings took place between the parties. During the year 2020, the parties, supported by the NCP, have successfully worked on a common understanding at the global level concerning the issues raised in the specific instance.
By this public statement, parties want to convey the message that on 21 June 2021, they have signed an agreement on the principles to be applied to the next stage in the procedure. The parties will focus further, within the framework of the common understanding reached, on the ongoing confidential NCP-procedure, which will end with the publication of a Final Statement by the NCP.
