On the 17th of August, at the ConfederaciĆ³n Bancaria de Chile, more than 20 women unionists from Chile, representing various sectors from UNI Americas, met to work as a network on the implementation of the strategic priorities of the region and other problems at a national level.

Alejandra Estoup, President of UNI Americas Women, said in her presentation that “Beyond education, what really transforms unions and puts an end to inequality is training workers to have an inclusive and diverse perspective that will create more democratic and participative unions”

“In our regional office, the discussion has focused around the worrisome changes we are seeing to democracies and to the rights of people. These changes arise from transformations in the world of work”, expressed Regional Secretary Marcio Monzane.
