In the context of the Creative Skills Europe project, series of ‘national online conversations’ on professional training and skills development have been organised during the last months with organisations from three European countries: Czech Republic, Spain and Portugal.
Those meetings, attended by trade unions, producers’ associations, public broadcasters, live performance employers and other relevant professional associations and sector bodies, aim at promoting the exchange of good practices across borders and at supporting local efforts to facilitate access to training and the development of professional skills in the audiovisual and live performance sectors in each country.
In addition to benefiting from a facilitated access to all the resources produced by the Creative Skills Europe project, local organisations have the opportunity to exchange with peers on the topic of training and skills but also to dialogue with key sector skills organisations from different European countries.
If the situation allows, follow up physical meetings will be organised in the three countries during the first semester of 2022. But, in the meantime, the online conversations are feeding the local social dialogue on skills and, hopefully, will inspire new initiatives for the enhancement of the training offer for all workers in the audiovisual and live performance sectors in the years to come.
