Forward for a New Africa: Organise, Mobilise , Innovate for Women

SM.OMA has just held its 3rd General Assembly in Antananarivo with a focus on the election of the new Executive Board. At the end of the election, the Comrade Holy Fanjaharimanana was elected New General Secretary of the union. Comrade Holy Fanjaharimanana began her trade union career as a Shop Steward at Orange Madagascar in 2009. After 7 years of union actions during which she participated in several trainings on Organising and collective bargaining supported by UNI Global Union, Comrade Holy was among the leaders who conducted the organizing campaign that led to the creation of the SM.OMA which was affiliated to UNI in 2018. Her election as new General Secretary of the Union is a proof of the commitment of women in trade union action in Madagascar.
