Jharkhand State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation Rallies for Better Conditions and Security for Health Workers in India’s Jharkhand State

Thousands of men and women rallied on 8 November in the Coal Field Area District headquarters in Dhanbad, Jharkhand State, calling for better conditions and security for healthcare workers in the state of Jharkhand, India. 

The public action was organized by UNI affiliate, Jharkhand State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation (JSNGEF) which saw the healthcare workers marching and raising their collective voice calling upon the State Government to fulfil an 11-point memorandum covering all state government employees, outsourced employees, and associated workers.

The rally concluded with the submission of the memorandum addressed to the Jharkhand State’s Chief Minister through the Deputy Commissioner of Dhanbad. Ashok Kumar NAYAN, General Secretary of JSNGEF, expressed hopes that the State Government would implement the demands, he also mentioned that the union plans to continue with the pressure until the genuine demands are addressed.
