Milton Jones elected UFCW president

The United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) has elected Milton Jones as its new International President, following the retirement of long-serving leader Marc Perrone. 

Christy Hoffman, General Secretary of UNI Global Union said: “We are incredibly grateful for Marc’s leadership and proud to have worked alongside him on global campaigns to support commerce workers. We warmly welcome Milton Jones to his new role. With his deep experience and commitment to union values, we look forward to continuing our close partnership—especially on key global priorities like organizing and strengthening collective bargaining power across borders.”

Joining him in the leadership team are UFCW Canada National President Shawn Haggarty, elected as International Secretary-Treasurer, Executive Vice President Stuart Appelbaum, Dave Young Executive Vice President and UFCW General Counsel Lisa Pedersen, elected as Executive Vice President.
