Survey on initiatives taken in the European Audiovisual sector to promote gender equality and diversity
Following up on the adoption in 2011 of the Framework of Actions on Gender Equality, UNI MEI and its sister organisations, the International Federation of Actors (FIA), the International Federation of Musicians (FIM) and the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) on one side, and the European employers’ associations on the other – the Association of Commercial Television in Europe (ACT), the Association of European Radios (AER), the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the European Coordination of Independent Producers (CEPI), and the International Federation of Film Producers Association (FIAPF), are running a study to assess the progress achieved so far and to identify the measures to be taken to promote further advances in the field in the years to come, also looking at the broader issue of diversity. In the wake of the recent scandals which have shaken the industry and the world, the mapping will also highlight initiatives put in place to prevent and react to bullying and sexual harassment.
UNI MEI’s European affiliates are warmly invited to fill in this survey available in English, French, and Spanish.
It only takes a few minutes and it will allow us to highlight as many good practices as possible in the follow up publication to be produced in 2019.
