Freedom of Association

Freedom of association enables the protection and fulfilment of many other rights. Just like all other workers, players and athletes have a right to form and join player associations and unions and to collectively bargain for better wages, working conditions, and other benefits. Player associations have been instrumental in protecting the rights and interests of players and in shaping their industries.
