The European Sectoral Social Partners in the live performance sector have issued a joint statement to express their concerns over the potential impact of Brexit to the sector. Mobility of workers is essential to the sector, as touring and cross-border productions are key elements of the work. The European Social Partners are concerned that Brexit could affect working conditions in the sector, as well as increase the financial and administrative burden of the workers who rely on mobility between the EU and the UK in their work. The European Social Partners call for careful consideration of the sector’s needs during the negotiations, to ensure the sustainability of cross-border work in the live performance sector and to protect the careers and income of the workers.
