UNI APRO MAY DAY 2022 MESSAGE

The UNI Asia and Pacific Regional Organization (UNI Apro) released a video message on May Day 2022.

In the video, UNI Apro President Akihiko Matsuura and Regional Secretary Rajendra Acharya thanked all the affiliates for their sacrifices and hard work in protecting workers and saving jobs during the two years of the pandemic.

With restrictions subsiding in many places, President Matsuura urged everyone not to forget that trade unions are essential to upholding workers’ rights. He also praised affiliates for adapting new methods to organize workers.

UNI Apro Regional Secretary also affirmed that the organization would move forward with affiliates to secure a fairer and equitable post-pandemic world of work.
