The whole UNI World Congress, gathered in Liverpool, showed Amazon the red card for its operating model which is leading the race to the bottom.
UNI Global Union’s new Deputy General Secretary, Alke Boessiger led the Congress in protest against Amazon’s anti-worker practices.
UNI’s demands are clear:
- We demand that Amazon pays its fair share of tax and behaves like a responsible global citizen.
- We stand together against the bad practices at Amazon.
- We demand that Amazon treats its workers with respect, like humans – not robots.
