The world’s leading player associations developed the Universal Declaration of Player Rights (UDPR) to respect, protect and uphold player rights in global sport. Grounded in internationally recognised human rights and the real-life experiences of athletes, the UDPR is the first comprehensive articulation of athletes’ rights and sets the benchmark for international sporting organisations to meet their obligations to guarantee the fundamental rights of players. Leading stakeholders have acknowledged the UDPR as the authoritative international standard for player rights.
